Media Statement by JAKIM (Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia) on the Launch of MyHALALINGREDIENTS Digital System
The Malaysian Islamic Development Department (JAKIM) announced in a media release that it would launch the MyHALALINGREDIENTS digital system the following day. The initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of Malaysia’s halal certification process and simplify related procedures.
MyHALALINGREDIENTS is designed to record and assess all ingredients used across industries, integrating with the existing MYeHALAL certification system to achieve streamlined and accelerated certification processes. By reducing redundant paper submissions and simplifying the registration process within the MYeHALAL system, the new platform shortens the overall review cycle for halal certification applications while ensuring efficient supply chain management of ingredients. This saves both businesses and JAKIM valuable time and resources.
In this regard, JAKIM urges industry stakeholders to leverage the advantages of MyHALALINGREDIENTS to further strengthen Malaysia’s halal certification efforts.
