Hand soap is a skincare and cleansing liquid primarily designed for hand hygiene. Formulated with specific active ingredients, certain varieties provide disinfectant and antibacterial benefits. Generally, these products are categorized into three types: standard hand soap, disinfectant (antimicrobial) hand soap, and heavy-duty degreasing hand soap.
While generally safe for daily use, the chemical components in hand soap can occasionally irritate sensitive skin or trigger allergic reactions. For those with skin sensitivities, applying hand cream immediately after washing is recommended to restore moisture. Functionally, hand soap works through mechanical friction combined with surfactants to lift away dirt and bacteria—processes that can be performed either with water or via waterless formulations.
Directions for Use:
Thoroughly wet your hands with clean water and dispense a proper amount of hand soap into your palm. Rub your hands together for at least 30 seconds, ensuring the lather covers every surface, with particular attention to fingertips and the spaces between fingers. Once scrubbed, rinse thoroughly under running water. To finish, pat dry with a clean towel or paper tissue. It is best to avoid air dryers, as the rapid evaporation of surface moisture can strip the skin of its natural oils, leading to dryness and roughness.
